CRI results endorse Kimberly-Clark’s emphasis on sustainability
29 May 2009
The results of the Corporate Responsibility Index have just been released once again affirming the great emphasis and care Kimberly-Clark places on environmental and social sustainability.
Kimberly-Clark was a global entrant in this year’s submission receiving a Silver rating over all and scoring particularly well in Corporate Strategy rating Gold (90+%) and in Integration and Management Practice rating Silver (80–89%).
This year the bar has been set higher than ever making it even harder for companies to gain top marks and highlighting the prestige of our Silver rating.
According to Dr Simon Longstaff, Executive Director, St James Ethics Centre, “The companies that have completed the CRI demonstrate a similar commitment to leadership. Rather than taking the easy option of not asking, of not knowing – they have been prepared to engage in a rigorous process of self-examination”.
“We are taking a strategic approach to sustainability, not only in the way we apply it to our everyday work, but in the way we measure and manage it,” says Ross Hearne, General Manager, Corporate Services.
This is an excellent result which further reinforces our efforts in making a mark in Sustainability and Environmental management.
