25 July 2008
Millicent and Tantanoola Mills have achieved a “state first” in passing the latest WorkCover audit.
The audit is held every three years and the company has had its self-insured status renewed for a further three years.
Under the latest WorkCover criteria, Kimberly-Clark has become the first company in South Australia to pass an audit with zero non-conformances.
Kimberly-Clark Australia has fulfilled its obligations and performance standards with respect to the health and safety of its 650-plus local employees, as well as its two sites in Adelaide.
The strict WorkCover requirements such as injury preventions and claims management has also been fully met by Kimberly-Clark Australia.
Millicent Mill Manager, Scott Whicker, said: “We talk safety every day and actively aim to improve on our performance. We generate detailed plans annually and implement them.
“We were really pleased with the WorkCover audit result as it reflects the efforts of everyone on site to live up to our goal of ‘nothing we ever do is worth an injury’.”
