CRI results confirm KCA/NZ’s reputation of genuine care
14 May 2007
Results of the national Corporate Responsibility Index out today have confirmed what Kimberly-Clark Australia & New Zealand employees knew all along: that Kimberly-Clark is a genuinely caring company that puts great emphasis on environmental and social sustainability.
In our first year of participation, Kimberly-Clark Australia & New Zealand received a score of 76% for our environmental management and 72% for Community Care
“We ranked particularly high in the area of environmental performance & impact and in assurance & disclosure,” says General Manager Corporate Services, Ross Hearne.
“We participated in only two modules in our first year,” Ross explains. “We are taking a strategic approach to sustainability, not only in the way we apply to our everyday work, but in the way we measure and manage it.
“Our participation in the CRI, and the associated investment of time and effort, is a firm indication of our commitment to corporate sustainability and social responsibility,” says Ross.
“We are using the CRI as a strategic tool to help us continuously improve our sustainability practices with a long-term focus.”
