Walking the talk on environmental and social sustainability

16 February 2007

Kimberly-Clark Australia & New Zealand launches its inaugural Corporate Social Responsibility Report, Walking the Talk [PDF, 44 pages, 2.75 MB].

Walking the Talk provides a clear and transparent account of Kimberly-Clark’s priorities, plans and progress in our ongoing commitment to being a socially responsible corporate citizen.

It talks openly about the way we care for our people and their safety, our environment, our community and our governance.

Kimberly-Clark products reach into the heart of people’s lives – into their babies’ nurseries, their family rooms, their kitchens and bathrooms, and into their workplaces, hotels or public facilities, and even into their hospital rooms and operating theatres. Likewise, our business reaches beyond our mills and offices and into the environment and the local community.

With that reach comes a great responsibility. A responsibility to be a good corporate citizen: to act with care and integrity, to think about the long-term impact on the consumers of our products, our customers, our community and environment and our people.

Walking the Talk shows that this commitment is entrenched in our daily practices and management; it shows that we take our social and environmental commitment very seriously in everything we do.
