QLD Premier thanks Kimberly-Clark Australia

29 September 2011

At a ceremony held at the Foodbank QLD Warehouse in Morningside on Wednesday 28 September 2011, QLD Premier Anna Bligh recognised the generous support and donations made by Kimberly-Clark Australia (KCA) and several other suppliers during the devastating natural disasters that QLD experienced earlier this year.

In total, KCA donated 5,204 cases of essential products like nappies, toilet paper and sanitary items to Foodbank earlier this year, with a dollar value of $121,285. In addition, KCANZ matched all employee donations made to registered charities for the disaster dollar for dollar, raising an additional $16,000.

Foodbank is Australia’s largest hunger relief organisation that collects and distributes food and grocery items to welfare agencies, to provide for those in society who need it most.

Social Responsibility Manager Fiona Sutton says “the contribution of KCA and its employees at a time of great hardship is greatly appreciated. It goes a long way to cementing our value of ‘caring’ for the communities in which we live and work.”
