K-C Health Care innovation making surgery safer

Kimberly-Clark Health Care has launched a new-to-the-world product aimed at reducing the risk of contamination from bacteria naturally present on human skin, known as skin flora.

Skin flora is a key factor in the development of wound infections. Wound infections can lead to serious complications and are among the most critical health care issues hospitals face.

First launched in Europe, Canada and selected Asia-Pacific and Latin American markets in 2006, Kimberly-Clark* InteguSeal* Microbial Sealant was introduced in the Australian and New Zealand markets in February 2007.
