Annual Healthcare Leadership Program funded by Kimberly-Clark Health Care
Well-respected program offers leadership development, networking opportunities to healthcare leaders from across the US.
Kimberly-Clark Health Care recently provided funding through an educational grant to Georgetown University (Washington, DC, USA) for the 12th consecutive year to present the 2008 Healthcare Leadership Program, a six-day leadership development program bringing together healthcare professionals, academic experts and policymakers to address current industry challenges.
Funded solely by Kimberly-Clark Health Care, the annual program ran from July 13–18, providing participants with opportunities to learn from industry and university experts and network with colleagues from around the country. A highlight of the program each year is a trip to Capitol Hill for a day of briefings on healthcare policy issues with key legislative leaders.
The 2008 program featured daily workshops focused on relevant healthcare industry issues including HAI prevention, Pay-for-Performance, employee and physician engagement and character-based leadership. Prominent healthcare industry professionals and professors from the Georgetown School of Nursing and Health Studies and McDonough School of Business presented the daily sessions.
