Southern Pine® fluff pulp
The name “Southern Pine” is given to a softwood pulp that has its origins in the radiata pine plantations of South Australia.
Southern Pine® fluff pulp is used extensively in diapers, feminine care and adult care products. It is also suitable for airlaid mediums.
Exacting environmental standards are adhered to in the magnesium bisulphite pulping process that is used to transform softwood chips into Southern Pine.
Southern Pine® carries both ISO 14001 and PEFC accreditation.
The bleaching process uses hydrogen peroxide, thus ensuring a totally chlorine free (TCF) classification. Southern Pine is then presented in a dried roll form for on selling.
Southern Pine® fluff pulp is the only product made by the Tantanoola Mil for external sales. The Key features page provides information about the technical properties and characteristics of Southern Pine fluff pulp.
Find out more about our mill, its engineering and environmental standards in the Tantanoola Mill page.
